One of the coolest books in the kids’ latest Papa Care Package is about, naturally, dinosaurs. This one has some awesome do-it-yourself models of dinos. They beg me every day to build another one – I’m trying to dole them out a couple at a time. First up – of course – had to be the T-Rex for Luke and Triceratops for Brett.

Poor Luke is still fighting his cold. The last couple days have been Pajama Days, taking-it-easy days. Lots of time on the green chair with Mama’s special blanket. A few shows and a lot of reading stories.

Surprisingly, Luke is pretty chipper considering how lousy he must feel. He still has enough energy to consult his dinosaur books and be an iguanadon [see spiked thumb]…

There have been a lot of drawings and a lot of stories in this house. Brett’s Sweetie Good Cat is still my all-time favorite. But this may be Luke’s first published story. Another author in the house!
