WE update
Both kids completed their first math books this week. Singapore Math is divided into book A and book B. So I guess that means our first semester is over?!
Yeah, I’m proud. Of them AND of me… I got a thumbs-up [and a peanut butter cup] for my efforts today! Guess that’s my student evaluation for Semester One.
We took an unofficial Spring Break the other week so have not yet completed our Chemistry, but we’re almost to the end of that book. Beginner Geography is done. Time for Mama to get online and figure out what’s next!
Brett and Luke both are furiously writing letters to their loved ones, and as soon as the Postal Service straightens out their mix-up and sends me my dang stamps, all y’all should be getting “some serious mail” as the kids would say.
I had to take a shot of this, Lukey’s first written letter. I only helped him spell out “Dear,” otherwise he did it all on his own.
It reads
Dear Landon [his cousin], I have these delicious things [which, like the four-year-old he is and the southern boy he's becoming, he pronounces "fangs"]. On the other side it explains he’s talking about Brett’s cuppie cook cake things – that shot didn’t turn out.
