Clowns to the left of me
Papa [Wallner] knows how the kids love to dress up. He sent a package with face paints in it yesterday, and naturally at SIX-THIRTY-A-M today the children were begging to get painted. I was all, “Duuude. The coffee’s not even ready yet.”
Luckily Daddy a) got to work on those faces after being fully awake and b) is naturally more talented than I at this stuff. He went to work making Lukey into a fine clown, then turned to Brett to make her a tiger.
Luke asked if he could paint a little, too, and of course we’re like, “Sure, go right ahead.” Little did we know.
By the time Daddy was done tigering up Brett, Luke looked like a clown who went on a bender and fell face-first into a pigpen. Or, as his sister put it, “He’s a Hot-Mess Clown.”
Papa: this one’s for you.

FUN!
I still have nightmares about that clown!
